What is Deep Tissue massage?

Deep tissue massage is more than just a massage with deep pressure. The goal is to solve problems within the functioning of your muscles. Remember that massage should never have to hurt to be effective.

What is Swedish Massage?

The Swedish massage is probably the most well-known and common type of massage. Long, fluid strokes over the full body invite a state of calm and relaxation.

What is Aromatherapy massage?

At The Deep Tissue Spa, every massage is an aromatherapy massage. Aromatherapy is an enhancement that can be incorporated into any style of massage that we offer, free of charge.

What is Trigger Point Massage?

Trigger points ("knots") disturb the physical functioning of muscles, this therapy deactivates them. It is important to communicate and actively participate with your therapist in this treatment.

What does massage do?

Did you know that there are many real health benefits to massage? Regular body massage has amazing mood-boosting abilities that will have your overall mental outlook improved in ways you did not think possible.

What can stress do to your body?

Reducing stress saves lives. Massage is great for stress because it relaxes the body and actually helps to turn off the stress response.  The production of adrenaline is slowed. Breathing gets deeper. Heart rate slows, and blood is returned from the extremities to the internal organs so that adequate digestive processes can take place. Massage is the quintessential antithesis to stress!

How often should you get a massage?

The benefits of massage are cumulative.  It helps you feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally. The type of massage and frequency you need will be determined by you and your therapist. We offer our affordable and flexible pricing plans so that you can make massage a regular part of your self care routine.

How do you stop chronic pain?

Massage goes way beyond just being a feel good activity; it has real medicinal benefits and is a therapy that is used more and more as medicine to treat various medical conditions. Our practitioners are highly trained, licensed professionals who can help you manage your pain naturally and safely. Each therapist has a different approach and techniques.
