Founder of The Deep Tissue Spa
Carly Gallagher
I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2009, and over the years I’ve developed a very specific approach to bodywork: slow, focused, fascia-first, and rooted in the nervous system.
This isn’t your typical deep tissue. I don’t chase pain or dig around hoping for release. I work with both hands on almost constantly, lifting and decompressing tissue before applying pressure, following the body’s nerve pathways and muscular chains. I only go as deep as your body needs—and only when it’s ready.
My work is especially helpful for people dealing with complex, chronic, or misunderstood conditions. I frequently work with clients who have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or other hypermobility disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, or who are navigating pain and tension alongside neurodivergence. If your body doesn’t always respond to “standard” approaches, you’re probably in the right place.
Every session starts with a clear, collaborative plan. I’ll walk you through what I see and how I suggest we work that day, based on your body and your goals. I’ll always give you my full professional recommendation—what I’d suggest if we weren’t limited by time or scheduling. You deserve clarity about what your body needs, and then you can decide what works best for you.
This work is for people who are ready to feel better—not just for a day, but in a real, sustained way. If that’s you, I’d love to work together.
